In today's fast-paced world, staying connected is more crucial than ever. Power banks have become essential gadgets for anyone on the go, ensuring that our smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices remain charged and ready for use.
Vention, a well-known manufacturer of computer components and accessories sent over their power banks for me to try it out. I have used Vention cables for some of my audio use and they have performed as advertised. This is a first time for me to test out their power banks.
We’re going to check out the Vention FHN Magsafe-compatible 10000mah power bank
FHN Magnetic Wireless Power Bank:Product link: https://bit.ly/4eJXM1P
It works on newer iPhones and Android phones with cases that can accommodate Mag safe devices. If you rock your phone without a case, you can buy those circular adhesives that will allow you to use this one, just make sure that your phone supports wireless charging for this power bank to charge wirelessly.
Shown here is the Spigen Tough Armor Magfit Case
If not, this also has a USB-C input and output port to charge wired. You can even charge two devices at the same time using the wired and wireless which is convenient. It does get a bit warm when charging wirelessly but that's a given with all wireless chargers... specially those capable of fast wireless charging like this one.
Specs:
- Shell: PC + ABS
- Interface: USB-C
- Battery Capacity: 10000mAh/3.85V (38.5Wh)
- Input (USB-C): 5V⎓2.4A; 9V⎓2A (18W Max)
- Output (USB-C): 5V⎓3A; 9V⎓2.22A; 12V⎓1.67A (20W Max)
- Output (Wireless): 5W/7.5W/10W/15W
- Total Output: 5V⎓3A (15W Max)
This power bank can charge an iPhone Pro battery for about 3 times. a Tablet for 1.3 times, wireless earbuds for 19 times. That’s a lot of power for a small device.
The magnet is strong and the swiveling stand is one that you don’t see often on magsafe charging bricks. It’s a nice addition to have. The digital battery level display is also nice to have rather than the usual led dots. You get to know the actual charge remaining.
One thing to note on non-iPhone users, I have the Samsung S24 Ultra and the telephoto lens will be blocked when you use this while taking a photo or video. Both on landscape and portrait mode. Simple solution is of course to remove it when using the camera. The ultrawide and main lens are unobstructed.
This is a nice phone stand to bring on the go or just use it as a mount and charging system at a desk.
