Microsoft is launching it’s latest low-cost tablet push with its Windows 8.1 with Bing release that lets manufacturers produce small devices with a lower Windows 8.1 license in return for making Bing the default search engine for Internet Explorer. (which the user can change after). Don’t forget that for devices that have displays 9”, Windows will be free to use by OEMs.
The following machines are running full Windows and not RT. These are also an improvement to the old low-cost “netbook” machines of past. Most are running the new processors like the Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor and also has an upgraded storage option in the form of solid-state drives, which really drives up performance.
