And just like that. Google has decided to let go of Motorola to Lenovo for $2.91 Billion. Google bought Motorola for 12.5 billion last 2012 primarily for patents. Not included on this sale is Motorola’s Advance Technology and Projects group which is doing the Project Ara modular phone
