Apple LED Cinema Display: Why pay double?

Looks like you need to pay double just to go mercury-free!

I’ll stick with my HP on this one thanks.

  1. It goes down to build quality and design aesthetics. When Apple does come with the same eye popping aesthetics with CORRECT technical design (ex., proper cooling solutions in their oh so slim macbook pro) plus better bootcamp, I will be one of those people lining up to get a Mac. But if aesthetics and build quality plus the pogi-points is concerned, Apple does deliver.

  2. Agree.

    Apple is also in the forefront of innovation. They helped touchscreen technology reach mainstream users, forcing other phones to follow suit.

    But still, I think some of their products are just too overpriced for the functions they claim to do. Their designs are absolutely breakthroughs themselves but hardware-wise, I see more powerful machines that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to own.

    I could setup dual 24" monitors for 899! :) ehehe

  3. @Roman,

    I think the phrase you're looking for is "Apple Tax", hehe.

    @Keith
    Pogi-points / aesthetics, I agree. But quality? Maybe. Lately, now that Apple belongs to the mainstream bandwagon, their reputation is tarnished.
