"Chanell Martin thought she was being a cool mom when she gave her 12-year old daughter a shiny new Zune for the Holidays. But as it turns out, her daughter's "welcome to the social" was anything but innocent. Apparently the Zune, which Martin purchased at a local Walmart, came with a 1-hour and 44-minute homemade porn video. We're talking guy-on-guy action here. Walmart's response? After blaming MS for the porn, they refunded the Martins and gave them a $25-dollar gift certificate." - view news video at www.myfoxchicago.com

Zune
Americans can be just quite as dumb sometimes. Apparently that particular Zune that was bought in Walmart is a returned product, probably by a deranged person who previously bought it or who knows, an iPod zealot trying to smut Zune.
ReplyDeleteWhen I mean returned product. American stores do this thing of accepting returned products from their customers and then re-selling them again. And usually they check the product for any changes... but in this case Wal-Mart must haven't checked it and making an excuse instead.
yeah.. in the US, consumer's rights are protected by law. If they decide to return a product, with the reason that they are dissatisfied..the shop will have no excuse but to accept the used product, give them their money back, and sell the product as refurbished goods. (they have to pay some re-stocking fees by the way)
ReplyDeleteIn this case, Walmart is to be blamed for not checking the item before re-stocking it again...
